Still Waiting

I have not updated in a long time.

We are still in the process of trying to get opened. We completed the training a few months ago and I thought I had turned in all the paperwork they needed. Unfortunately, I had not but I have since turned it in. Now we are just waiting for our final walk through.

With everything with COVID my work has been slammed. Nothing like a pandemic to exacerbate everyones mental health struggles. I have had a few exposure scares recently but so far no direct exposure. Ideally(not that its ever ideal) I would not be directly exposed since I’m a therapist and I cannot treat it.

The court date for termination of parental rights hearing keeps getting moved. It has been moved several times (4-5?). We are doing our best to prepare for the upcoming school year without having our kiddos here to actually register for anything or knowing what color preferences to purchase certain school supplies. We have purchased a good chunk of school clothes and some of the basic supplies.

My heart is eagerly waiting for our babies to finally be home… I was hoping to spend some of the summer with them and take a couple fun day trips with them before school starts. We are looking at mid August at this point and if we had decided to have a biological child we would be closing in on 9 months.
